On June 13 and 14, the 2nd National Conference on Communities and Tourism was successfully held in Nay Pyi Taw, cohosted by the Myanmar Center for Responsible Business and the Hanns Seidel Foundation, and Myanmar Responsible Tourism Institute (MRTI).
The workshop consisted of sharing different perspectives and experiences within presentations and panel discussions, from various pilot projects and new projects related to communities and tourism. There were over 100 participants including Members of Parliament, MOHT staff, township officers, executive members from private sector development, consultants, business entrepreneurs and community members.
We are so glad for the achievements of all the community tourism projects in the last few years. We hope all of you can overcome challenges together, in order to lead sustainable and responsible tourism in Myanmar.
