The Hygiene and Service Training supported by Han Seidel Foundation was conducted on the 3rd-5th of April 2019. B&B and restaurant owners and staff from Thandaung Gyi joined in the training sessions. The training section focused on the dos and don’ts for customer service at the B&B and restaurants through the Thandaung Gyi CBT.
The participants were happy to learn about personal hygiene, grooming and service standards to support developing tourism at the destination and to encourage more guest arrivals in Thandaung Gyi. Domestic tourism and pilgrimage touring are increasing: familes and organizations are choosing Thandaung Gyi as a destination for retreating, mini-workshops, team excursions, and other small trips. Local Thangaung Gyi people welcome travellers and guests, feeling proud to present their authentic culture, green scenery, panoramic views, hidden stories and their hospitality.
