On the 10th and 11th of October, the Regional Community Tourism Development Forum was held in Kalaw. Jointly organized by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Hanns Seidel Foundation, Myanmar Responsible Tourism Institute (MRTI) and the Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business.  The first day of the forum focused on the villagers from the surrounding area of Kalaw with the second day a focus for the local business community.
